These muscles lie in the forearm and their tendon components cross the wrist and attach to the bones to move the fingers and wrist. Exercise these for greater grip power and endurance. The smaller muscles of the hand (intrinsic), lie at the base of the thumb (3), small finger (4) and across the hand (5 & 6). They provide the finer movements, coordination, and control of the fingers and do not cross the wrist. WARNING! Like any other piece of exercise equipment, strain, muscle fatigue or other injury can occur from the use of this

The Gripmaster Pro isolates and strengthens each finger individually, helping you improve your overall strength, endurance, and dexterity. A few daily workouts with the Gripmaster Pro and you’ll enjoy better control of a baseball/softball bat, tennis racquet, or golf club, with each finger working in seamless unity with the others. You’ll also find a ton of other uses for the Gripmaster Pro, including playing guitar or violin, rock climbing, bowling, target shooting, martial arts, yoga, or even relieving stress while clicking a mouse or gaming for hours on end.

To keep things interesting and to accommodate certain uses, the company recommends several different exercises, including the “fingertip pinch,” “flatfist,” “powergrip,” “wristflex,” and “thumbpinch,” most of which are explained on the Gripmaster website. Best of all, you can work out anytime and anywhere with the Gripmaster Pro, which fits neatly in your pocket when not in use. This particular version of the Gripmaster Pro offers an extra-heavy tension of 11 pounds per finger–a recommended tension for extremely strong hands.

Features:
  • High-quality hand exerciser with spring-loaded finger piston technology
  • Isolates and strengthens each finger individually for better overall coordination
  • Improves user control of bats, racquets, clubs, guitars, and other sports equipment
  • Fits conveniently in your pocket; lets you strengthen fingers anytime, anywhere
  • Extra-heavy tension strength of 11 pounds per finger for extremely strong hands

Gripmaster Pro recommended
The Gripmaster Pro Hand Strengthening system is an excellent device for increasing one’s grip. It is much more comfortable to use than the more common “V”-shaped strenghtening devices because it does not try to slip from your hand. The “Pro” series is padded, making it more comfortable than the regular Gripmasters.

The 11 pounds per finger is only for more advanced workouts because it does require more effort than the 9 pound (or lower tension) versions. It is best to start with a lower tension Gripmaster and then increase to the higher tension units….more info

Tought to use than people lead on.
I bought this hard one because everyone said the others can be pretty easy. Over and over again people said the others are too easy. IDIOTS! If performed correctly one should be squeezing and holding for up to five seconds. This one this is VERY tough. Go try one in person before you buy it online.

As for individual finger exercises, you cant use a single finger at a time, but you can use pairs. Not to mention there are a slew of exercises on their website. I really like this thing, but I will have to admittedly but an easier one. It is also a very durable piece of equipment. I highly recommend one of these, just ensure that you are getting a good tension….more info

Handy!
This product is a very nice buy for me. The tension is just right, very durable and handy tool to have around. Great for anyone who wants to strengthen their grip or guitar players building endurance….more info

Excellent product
I lift weights at the gym and after using the Gripmaster Pro (11 lbs per finger) for several months the 110 lb dumbbells no longer begin to slip from my hand at the end of a set of repetitions. The product is well made and durable. I keep it by my desk and use it during conference calls, maybe an hour total each day. I can crush and hold my grip on everything but my pinky, my pinky only gets about 3/4 of the way down. I’d upgrade to a 15 lb or 18 lb per finger version if one were available….more info
