“Useful and elegant looking” I’m a coffee drinker, and when I make my once every two years visit back to Oklahoma, from California, I need a lot of coffee to fuel the trip. In the past I just stopped and bought two of the biggest cups I could find at whatever truck stop I visited, but I decided to get wise and buy some kind of storage vessel.

I knew I had two options. Travel mug or vacuum bottle. Well, one thing I absolutely cannot stand is spilled coffee. It seems that no matter how well made they are, travel mugs always spill at least a few drops. Also, you normally drink out of the mug itself, and that’s no good because the lip of the mug collects spillage. I already had travel mugs, and I didn’t use them because they only stored a little coffee, didn’t keep it hot enough for long enough, and then the spillage issue.

Very easy to clean. No leakage.

Just a caution though… this thermos works so well that if it’s boiling hot when you put it in, it will still be boiling hot 8 hours later. And it does not cool down quickly, even with the lid off. I started putting my food in at the temperature I wanted to eat it and everything was fine….more info

Delivers what it promises
As mentioned in other reviews, I can testify that this vacuum bottle really does keep things hot for a long time. Yesterday I filled the bottle with hot coffee and put it in my car’s trunk at 7 am and went to work. Something came up and I left it in the trunk until I got back home at 7:30 pm. When I opened it up, I poured myself a cup of hot coffee! This is really impressive, because the bottle sat outside for over 12 hours on a winter day in Michigan when the outside temperature never got above 20 degrees and it still kept the coffee hot. The bottle is rugged and practical and the handle is easy to grab, especially when you are carrying a lot of other things at the same time. The looks are kind of industrial, so it won’t coordinate well if you carry a $1,500 briefcase, but it sure gets the job done….more info

Not even a little warm
This absolutely does not keep liquids even a little warm. When you put hot water inside it you can feel the heat on the outside of the container, that should not happen if there is insulation. Terrible! Not what I expected.

WAS SURPRISED WHEN I RECEIVED IT, THAT IT WAS MADE AS WELL AS IT IS. BESIDES FROM BEING SO CUTE TO ME, LOOKS LIKE A GAINT BOLT…MY HUSBAND IS A PIPEFITTER, SO HE USES IT FOR SOUPS FOR HIS LUNCHS.
